View transcript
hello and welcome back to the bear jam vlog it is february so we're gonna take a look back over some of the projects that we worked on in january which for me was a dry month i didn't touch a drop of alcohol so i'm feeling now it's becoming a bit of a tradition that these vlogs start with a project for ready 10 and mcdonald's and this one january is no different continuing to promote the click and serve function of the my mcdonald's app the guys over at ready 10 wanted to harness the phenomenal viral power of four lads in genes so the project was super tight turnaround because mcdonald's wanted to leverage the fact that they were going to be the first brand to work with the four lads in jeans so with the time frame as tight as the lads jeans and being covered safe in mind we opted for a voiceover and animation route so there's two elements there first of all voiceover to get the best quality audio recording we decided to send a microphone to kevin who's far left we then set up a recording session with myself odette from ready10 our sound engineer and kevin himself we then take that beautiful uncompressed clean audio file and edit it down to hit the narrative flow that we want remove all the bad takes pick the best selects as possible next we build and animate kevin's phone interface and of course the step-by-step order process so this gives us obviously complete control over what the viewer was gonna see we could give the illusion that we're jumping between apps we can flick to the camera roll and of course show the functionality as smoothly as possible it also allowed us to inject a little bit of humor for the sake of getting this order in let's order one of those sorry mum i can't talk right now um and a bit of back and forth with the rest of the lads as easy as that and no need to get out the car and get those hunkers all cold so no sucks no problem you can thank me later lads so keeping on the theme of remote recording surprise surprise we're in national lockdown we have undertaken two animations this month one for a new client iqeq to promote an internal innovation initiative that's a bit of a mouthful and the second was what we are fetching our app lets parents connect with a network of friends they trust to take care of their children so we created a voice over led mixed media animation which those guys are going to use as part of their crowdfunding campaign so we also finished the edit that i mentioned in the last vlog for the gut health doctor and her brand partnership with usana i'm really excited to join yasana's scientific advisory council to help provide the crucial insight into the science into delivering new exciting evidence-based products january has been a bit of a quieter month for us but that has given us the opportunity to cut a new showroom specifically showcasing our aerial property work so we're able to go back through the archives pull out some drone footage some helicopter footage all showcasing some of the property projects that we've worked on over the years so if you're involved in property in any way and you want to get some aerial shots please do get in touch we have done a couple of real-life shoots in january but as we are in lockdown we try and keep the crew to an absolute bare minimum and more often than not that just means one person and often that's me so i've been out and about on my own capturing a talking head where i was operating two cameras sound directing that's just a straight shooter with upper management written all over them and also i think i mentioned in the december vlog that we're doing regular visits to an estate in hampshire to see how the landscape changes as they develop certain areas of the estate well i had our second visit where i saw a real mix of weather thick fog first thing in the morning and then some lovely sun later so those were a couple of projects that kept us busy last month i hope you enjoyed them i am now gonna go and pop a beer and celebrate the end of dry january [Music] cheers you
