Bear Jam VLOG Bumper Edition November 2021

ah welcome to the latest bear jam vlog um so it's the start of december where has the year gone and where's the last vlog gone to be totally honest we shot one back in the summer remember that but never actually got around to editing it um just got way laid and it kind of fell to the bottom of the to-do anyway so this is gonna be a bumper vlog consisting of that one and this one so um what i'm to do now is go back in time pass you to myself back in the summer who will bring you up to speed then i will do this vlog starting from now in current time unless of course you're watching this in the future we're sending you back to the future hello and welcome to the latest vlog so at the end of the last vlog i mentioned that my wife and i were expecting a baby the good news is uh baby body arrived shortly after shooting the last vlog um six weeks later i'm very pleased to report that mum and baby are still doing really well but let's get down to some bear jam business and to kick things off a bit of housekeeping let's talk about the bear jam office we are going through a bit of a revamp bit of a re-jig at the moment um as you can see behind me it's a bit of a mess hopefully by the time we shoot the next vlog in a month or two um it will all be done and dusted but for now please excuse the mess we thought it'd be easier to just crack on with the vlog in the mess rather than tidy up the office shoot the vlog and then carry on with our organization anyway enough about that a little bit more housekeeping and i want to take the opportunity to welcome some new additions to the bear jam team we've had three new starters since the last vlog we've got will joining us as a videographer he's actually behind the camera we will also bring in alec who's a new producer at bear jam and tarik who joins us in charge of operations and finance so the first project i want to talk to you about was for iq eq and this was a really exciting project because the brief was very open so we got to come up with a concept work on the scripting and then pre-production the production extra shoot and all the post-production so we had control over the whole process which is my favorite type of project so the brief for this particular project was to create a video that was going to excite iqeq's employees who hadn't seen their brand new london office so to match that excitement we wanted the edit and the video itself to be fast-paced and dynamic and exciting so we had all sorts of different transitions going on through the video i actually brought in some actors so we didn't need to waste too many of the employees time and we could position them around the office set up little scenes and capture some really cool moments within the space and outside we also incorporated some awesome london stock footage into the piece as well so client was super happy with the project i'll put a link to it here somewhere um so go check it out if you're interested next up was a project for gettier now get right ultra fast delivery service you may have seen the bike zipping around london so as a business they are growing very very quickly but they're struggling with recruitment so they came to us to produce a recruitment film for them so we spent a day filming their drivers doing some interviews we then created some really short videos that they can put out on their social channels to try and recruit the workforce that they need for their growing business really fun shoot day we had a gimbals out gopros mounted to bikes had to call in a few favors to get some shots of customers so it was a bit of a run and gun gorilla style but we got it all done and got what we needed so i love it when we get quite random off the wall briefs you may remember the pooh portraits from a few months ago so we had one of those calls recently when the guys at idea farm got in touch because they wanted to put their clients snug small sofa in the smallest house in great britain which if you're asking um i know you were is in conway north wales so with a small crew we headed up to north wales to capture the sofa going into the smallest house in britain which is tiny if you're ever in conway i definitely recommend paying the one pound 50 to go and have a look around so you probably noticed i had a cheeky little cameo in that piece as well couldn't help myself um so a couple of projects there we've also been doing some more work for mcdonald's and fun football and we've just shot something for red consultancy and their client pom bear featuring fern mccann and her daughter sunday that was an interesting shoot because they actually had the crew from fern's tv show come and capture the shoot so i guess in due course we're gonna feature in that which will be exciting and i'm sure i'll feature it in the vlog at some stage as well that'll be even more impressive cameo because it will be on tv whatever channel her show is on so that's it for this month's blog there's lots going on behind the scenes in terms of what's going on at bear jam hq and obviously with our recruitment drive right that's it from me so back to the future so hopefully we've just seen in the last vlog um that we produced a shoot for pom bear featuring fern and sunday mccann well we featured in fern's show so had a beautiful itv debut [Music] keeping on the towie theme we shot mark wright with paula radcliffe in the build up for the london marathon which mark didn't even run in the end awkward anyway someone that does run is my man curtis this was part of a series of three videos for vitality working with agency the space between so as a brand vitality is all about positive change and the benefits of living healthy lives so to bring that to life we were brief to tell the story of three real people associated with some of vitality's partners england netball parkron and this mum runs so the series saw us traveling up and down the country capturing interviews and footage with curtis mel and halle and then editing all the footage into a series of compelling stories so prior to shooting these we conducted a number of interviews with the three subjects that you've seen and also some other potential subjects who didn't make the cut because what we wanted to do we wanted to work out whether they'd be suitable for the project um what kind of themes and stories would emerge in the interviews just so we were totally prepared because preparation for this sort of project is key well i think that probably goes for all projects preparation is key preparation preparation preparation so next up we help red consultancy launch the partnership between mcdonald's and children in need for this we headed to a mcdonald's restaurant in coventry and captured a round table discussion about the state of youth in the uk so the reason we went for a roundtable discussion rather than kind of talking heads or scripted piece to camera was to have a kind of really free flowing conversation and get natural responses from people that have been affected by the type of issues that they were talking about we also headed over to a youth centre to see the types of places that will benefit from all the money raised so a little update on that the partnership has already raised over 1 million pounds so keeping with mcdonald's we also produced a video with the queen of loyal love island's very own georgie steele and emmerdale's charlie webb so for the shoot with charlie webb we actually wanted it to have a really nice kind of summery feel charlie and buster there are outside enjoying the great outdoors so loads of lights bit of a color grade and we were able to fix that in post talking of fixing it in post we also had to comp in the phone screen because at the time of the shoot the document that we were promoting wasn't ready so we had to comp in the front cover once the design had been signed off but we don't always need to fake summer since the last vlog we've actually been to uh park twice to capture summer and autumn so we've had some great days down there capturing some wildlife and the changes in the seasons we've also got pretty well acquainted with some of the locals so i'm really proud of the charity partnership that we have here at belgium with muscular dystrophy uk we create all sorts of content for them to help them communicate with their their audiences will our videographer shot an event for them earlier in the year uh we've got a few other projects in the pipeline and we're working on a little animation for them too so i've nearly brought you up to speed a project i want to talk about from november or movember was for kp nuts featuring the one and only it's me the vivian as you can imagine this was a pretty fun shoot and we created a range of platform-specific content for instagram facebook tick-tock twitter hope you haven't missed anything off also worth mentioning that alec one of our producers grew a phenomenal tash in november weirdly in this vlog we've touched on tawi love island and now made in chelsea with christmas around the corner we work with our friends at ready 10 to produce some festive video for elves behaving badly featuring sam thompson we created a number of videos for that campaign head over to elves behaving badly's channels to keep an eye out for those as they'll be sharing them throughout december keep an
